Everyone of whatever age within this family has the expectation of being supported, valued and appreciated for themselves, as individuals. They will always have other people to talk to, laugh with, and rely on. They will expect a high level of comfort and nurturing of body and spirit so that the needs of the whole person can be provided for within the ethos of the Home.

The Check House is registered with the Commission for Social Care Inspectorate (CSCI), under The Care Standards Act 2000. Due to increasing demand, the Rossetti wing has recently been completed with a further eighteen single rooms providing residential care, most with breathtaking views of the sea. This development has recently won a prestigious Healthcare Design Award for the best extension to an existing Home in the U.K. in 2005. The competition was open to Homes across the country and our success reflects not only the qualities of the Rossetti wing, but the reaction of our Residents to it. We have established an excellent reputation with local healthcare professionals and in the community as a whole.
