Our Care Homes
Cannon Care Homes offers the highest quality homes providing specialist care for all senior citizens. This ranges from pure residential care, to nursing and specialist dementia care, as well as respite care and convalescence for short periods of time. We can also provide day care for anyone who would like to enjoy the benefit of the home without the need to stay over. This can be especially helpful for a relative who is caring for someone full-time.
All our staff are trained to the highest possible standards, undergoing training courses, to ensure the care provided is not only expert and up to date with the latest research but is also sympathetic and tailored to each of our residents' specific needs.
The environment of our homes is specifically designed to ensure as homely and comfortable an atmosphere as possible. In addition, all our homes provide safe relaxing seating areas in their well maintained gardens for our residents to enjoy.
Our fees cover full board and 24 hour care. Each home manager can provide full details about the terms and conditions of the resident's stay. They can also explain the formal procedure for making complaints and provide our latest inspection report along with the home’s statement of purpose, detailing the summary of services and facilities offered.
Cannon Care Homes has established a working relationship with Bradford University. Paul Edwards, Head of Training and Practice Development of the Bradford University Dementia Group has written:
"Since the summer of 2009, Cannon Care Homes have been working with Bradford Dementia Group at the University of Bradford, to develop an approach to care, supported by person centred care plans that enable staff to significantly improve the quality of life of their residents. Together the University of Bradford and Cannon Care Homes are continually developing techniques and approaches to care that is enabling the group as a whole to become Centres of Excellence in dementia care. This involves a continual programme of training, self assessment and independent evaluation.
I know since Robin's father passed away in early 2009 with dementia, Robin has embraced a commitment to ensuring his homes deliver the very best possible care for people with dementia.
It is the strength of our continuing partnership that assures me that Cannon Care Homes can go on raising the bar of what can be achieved with people with dementia and those who support them. The care teams at Cannon Care Homes are actively embracing change and development that is having a profound impact on the well-being and quality of life of those in their care.
For me, what Cannon Care Homes has achieved in a relatively short passage of time has been inspiring, and their commitment to the continual improvement of dementia care should act as a marker for others in the industry to learn from.
We will continue our partnership, learning and growing together, to create a better place for people with dementia and those who care for them."
